Back from Korea!

I have just returned from beautiful Seoul after a three week exercise augmentation. The trip was a lot of fun (when I was on liberty) and I enjoyed the opportunity to set foot in a couple more countries in my effort to make it to 50 (a lifelong goal). Here are a couple of photos of the trip.

In this photo, I'm actually in North Korea. This is at Panmunjeon in a building that straddles the dividing line between North and South Korea. The next photo is me eating the head of a fish. No big surprise: it tasted like fish.

Here I am in exercise gear before headed to watch. I don't think that the contrasting camouflage works. In fact, I'm pretty sure it makes me stand out. The worst part is that the vest is in Army Digital. Pretty awful. The sculpture below is in front of the Korean War Museum. It's actually a museum dedicated to the armed forces and the many, many wars that Korea, both united and divided, has been involved in. This sculpture is representative of two brothers reuniting (in a future scenario).

South and North Korea and a quick stop in Japan bring me up to 33ish. Still have a few more to go.
